Within the good weather period of Dec-Mar and Jun-Oct, there is one much anticipated highlight you won't want to miss.
The Great Migration: from mid-Jul to Sep. During this period, savor the chance to witness one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebras brave the Mara River, crossing the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing.

Melvyn and Elliott went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home, from the meticulous structuring of our itinerary, to constantly checking-in (yay Maasai blankets and gym access whenever possible!!!).
The knowledgeable guides made a massive difference to our plethora of game drives-- they're trained in defensive driving, have had to complete extensive schooling in conservation, are truly passionate about their work, and have years of experience under their belt.

The itinerary was well planned and thoughtfully curated — the guides were knowledgeable, sharing about all things Kenyan; and could get us very close to the animals, while maintaining a respectful distance always. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and selected with great attention to detail (authentic cuisine, gorgeous unspoilt views). Off the beaten path travel is very stressful, but Jambo has proven that it doesn’t have to be (if in the right hands).
