BHUTAN: BETWEEN MOUNTAINS AND MEANING
ABOUT THIS TRIP
Bhutan isn’t a place you just visit. It’s a place that quietly reshapes the way you see the world. Tucked away in the Eastern Himalayas, this is one of the last countries where tradition isn’t preserved for tourists. It’s simply how life is lived. Monks in crimson robes walk alongside school kids. Prayer flags flutter across mountain passes. Time moves slower here, and somehow, that’s exactly what makes everything feel more alive. This journey takes you through Bhutan’s most iconic valleys, from Paro to Punakha, and into the heart of its culture. You’ll hike to ancient monasteries perched impossibly on cliffs, share stories with locals, and experience a way of life that places happiness above all else. It’s not just about ticking off sights. It’s about being present, embracing simplicity, and reconnecting with what really matters.
BEST TIME TO GO
The best time to visit Bhutan is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Spring brings blooming rhododendrons and clear mountain views, while autumn offers crisp air, golden landscapes, and some of Bhutan’s most vibrant festivals. These seasons give you the best chance of clear skies, comfortable trekking conditions, and those postcard views of the Himalayas.
AVAILABLE TRIP FORMATS
Private trips: ideal for honeymooners, couples, families, and groups of friends. You get to pick your own dates and enjoy the flexibility to customize parts of the program with our range of optional add-ons. During the trip, you also have greater control over the pace of travel.
Open group trips: ideal for solo travellers, couples, small groups of friends open to meeting other like-minded adventurers. We do our best to open a couple of group trips per destination each year. Available trip dates can be found below.
EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

HIKE TO TAKTSHANG TIGER'S NEST MONASTERY
Perched dramatically on the edge of a cliff, this is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. The hike itself is as memorable as the destination. As you ascend through pine forests and prayer flags, every turn reveals a new perspective, until you finally stand face-to-face with the monastery. It’s a moment that stays with you long after you’ve left.

IMMERSE IN BHUTANESE CULTURE & TRADITIONS
From visiting local homes to witnessing daily rituals in monasteries, this trip brings you closer to the people and their way of life. It’s in these quiet, unfiltered moments where Bhutan leaves the deepest impression. Not staged, not rushed. Just real.
